Darryn Conroy

National K9 Services P/L (NK9S) – is based in the Adelaide Hills and is owned and operated by Darryn – who has over 30 years of experience as a professional and certified Dog Training Instructor and Dog Handler.

Darryn has worked with numerous Police, Federal, Military and Government Dog Units throughout Australasia, working with different breeds of dogs in both working dog roles and within the private dog sector. He has judged and competed in Australasian Working Dog Trials and was a member of Australasian Police Professional Standards Council for Dog Handlers.

He has trained – General Purpose (patrol) Dogs, Tactical Dogs. Public Order Dogs and dogs specialising in Drug, Explosive, Firearm and Mobile Phone Detection and has provided dog training in Civil Agitation and Decoy Courses. He has trained a Biosecurity (noxious weed) Detection Dog as well as training Correctional Services and Search Dog Teams.

Combining extensive Dog Training and Dog Handling experience, with knowledge of dog psychology, Darryn applies sound and proven dog training methodologies.

Applying an honest, friendly and simple approach to dog training, while encouraging interaction from owners and organisations, provides the perfect environment for dogs and their owners / handlers to learn.

Training and Consultancy provided by NK9S is underpinned by certified Dog Training qualifications and accreditation in the Principles of Canine Behaviour through Massey University, N.Z.

NK9S provides Australia wide Canine Consultancy to Government Dog Units and Training to Private Dog Owners.
